Women Superstars Uncensored has been rearranging furniture since being taken over by Beyond Wrestling following the Uncensored Rumble V iPPV back in June. Next month, WSU returns to Deer Park, NY for its first card under the Beyond Wrestling umbrella as part of three events over the span of one day – with one of those being an interpromotional show, followed by the comeback WSU event, entitled Full Steam Ahead.
The main event of the WSU card sees World Champion Jessicka Havok defending the title in a triple threat match against Alicia and Lexxus, who both ended up getting the shot at the belt because of the controversial ending of the Uncensored Rumble match. Alicia believed she had won the contest because she was the last in the ring, but Lexxus scooted back in and threw her out. However the screwiness lies in that the competitors didn’t need to go over the top to be eliminated, and all they needed was to touch the arena floor – so considering Alicia was the last one in the ring, there should be no argument. However, that’s what happened, and that’s the reason why both are laying claim to a title shot. Hopefully, this match should clear up any controversy…
Elsewhere, Marti Belle makes her first defence of the WSU Spirit Championship which she won at the Uncensored Rumble against long-running opponent in the New York Wrestling Connection, Nikki Addams. However as of press time, the Tag Team Championship will not be defended at Full Steam Ahead, though the titleholders Sassy Stephie and Allysin Kay will be in action against Kimber Lee and Annie Social. There is a chance that the match will become a title defence as Lee and Social are petitioning WSU for the Midwest Militia to put the belts on the line, but we will have to wait and see how that turns out.
Another non-title match taking place on October 13 will see nCw Femmes Fatales International Champion Kalamity wrestle Leva Bates. It makes sense that that this is not for the title, as while Bates has been more impressive this year, her last match in WSU was in a losing effort against LuFisto, so a wrestler shouldn’t gain a title shot after being defeating in their last contest. Speaking of the Super Hardcore Anime, she will battle rival Mercedes Martinez as part of their ongoing feud spanning across WSU and Femmes Fatales. The last time the pair interacted was at the Uncensored Rumble when LuFisto attacked The Latina Sensation during the latter’s challenge to Havok for the WSU World Title in the Casket Match main event. Tensions are running high, and will escalate further, no matter the result at Full Steam Ahead, as they are due to wage war in a cage at Femmes Fatales X in Montreal on November 3.
Rounding off the card is Brittney Savage taking on Tina San Antonio, Jessie “Bonesaw” Brooks having her open contract answered by Canadian Addy Starr, and CHIKARA‘s Intergalactic Luchadora Saturyne meeting Niya in an Uncensored Opportunity match, where the winner will earn (or in Niya’s case, regain) further WSU bookings.
The WSU roster has more to offer though – as preceding Full Steam Ahead is Beyond Wrestling’s All Aboard , as well as three WSU v Beyond matches for the fans who buy tickets to the other shows, with Havok taking on Mark Angel, and Stephie & Kay facing Sugar Dunkerton & Aaron Epic.
There is no messing around with this return, and we look forward to seeing if the combination of two shows will help to pull fans through the door. Looking at the WSU lineup, it deserves to. Best of luck to WSU for October 13.
