First Title Defense For Maria Kanellis

In an update, Maria Kanellis will put her newly won FWE Women’s Title on the line for the first time later this month.

Maria won her first ever wrestling title on February 25th – her 30th birthday – after competing in a one-night tournament that also featured TNA Knockouts Tara, Brooke Tessmacher, and Winter. She defeated Tara in the first round after Winter distracted her fellow TNA Knockout, and scored the duke over Winter when Tara and Brooke got revenge for her interference earlier in the evening.

Now it’s time for Maria to prove her worth and talent as both a champion and a wrestler: FWE has announced that the first challenger for her title is yet another TNA Knockout – none other than the Mexican America chica, Rosita.

The show, to take place on March 24th at the 3 Legged Dog Studios in downtown Manhattan, NY, will also feature an announcement regarding the next challenger for the belt.

Good luck to both Maria and Rosita, they are both wonderful competitors and whoever wins will deserve it.
