Aussie cheerleader Shazza McKenzie is currently in the United States, training with CHIKARA and Combat Zone Wrestling, and made her North American debut last night at the East Coast Wrestling Association show in Newark, Delaware, defeating Kylie Pierce. The announcement has also been made that the 23-year your old from Melbourne will make her SHIMMER debut in less than two weeks at the volumes 45-48 DVD tapings.
McKenzie is the fifth Australian to wrestle at SHIMMER, following former Champion Madison Eagles, Jessie McKay, Kellie Skater, and Tenille Tayla, and joins fellow debuters Leon and Ray, both Joshi wrestlers.
Incidentally, if you’re still on the fence about going on March 17 and 18, don’t wait for much longer. Earlier today, SHIMMER updated its Facebook page with this:
The advance for the 3/17 & 3/18 events is slightly ahead of usual with two weeks to go (particularly for the Saturday show), so if you don’t have tickets yet and plan on attending, we strongly suggest getting them in advance. Once we reach capacity we must turn away those looking to buy them at the door at the last minute. We expect both shows to end up selling out this time, but Saturday will do so quicker than Sunday at this pace.
