Mid-West Militia & Jessicka Havok Rule WSU

Mid-West Milita- On top of WSU
In a huge victory last night, Jessicka Havok defeated Mercedes Martinez for the WSU World Championship, ending Martinez's three year reign.

From L-R: Allysin Kay, Jessicka Havok & Sassy Stephie
Havok was voted Independent Star of the Year in the Diva Dirt Dirt Writer's Choice Awards last year. She has been on a streak the past year and a half, defeating the best of WSU's talent. She also founded the Mid-West Militia with fellow WSU stars Allysin Kay and Sassy Stephie/Stephanie (I'm not sure which one it is).

Former champ Martinez

The stable now holds all of WSU's championships (World, Spirit, Tag Team). Havok won the Spirit and World titles in her title vs. title match against Martinez, while Stephie and Allysin defeated Lucious Latasha and Jana for the Tag Team Championships right after Latasha and Jana won the titles. WSU commissioner Amy Lee announced early in the evening that the winners of the previously announced Kay and Stephie vs Alicia and Brittney Savage match would become the top contenders for the Tag Titles. The pair cashed in their title match against Jana and Latasha after they (Jana and Latasha) won the titles from Lexxus later in the show.

My thoughts: I sort of expected Jessicka to win the World title, although I rooted for Mercedes to retain. After all, she held the title for three years, why would this defense make any difference? I especially wanted her to hold onto it after what the Militia tried to do to her at War Games (ex: stab her with a machete). But there's a time for everything and now that Jessicka has the title, I see a wonderful feud between her and Mercedes.

As much as I hate to say it, congratulations Jessicka Havok for winning the title and congratulations Sassy Stephie and Allysin Kay for winning the tag team titles. I wish you well in all your title defenses.
